Cleveland carried a 2–0 lead into the bottom of the sixth Saturday night, but Chicago answered with five runs and closed out a 6–3 win.
The game turned in one inning
Rhys Hoskins opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the top of the sixth, bringing home Ángel Martínez. Chicago answered immediately: Munetaka Murakami homered, Tristan Peters doubled in two runs and Chase Meidroth singled home two more to produce a five-run inning.
Angel Genao's first major-league home run pulled Cleveland within 5–3 in the seventh. Braden Montgomery added Chicago's final run with an eighth-inning RBI single. Cleveland finished with 11 hits but left nine runners on base.

Where it left Cleveland
The loss moved the Guardians to 58–60, according to the final game data. Anthony Kay earned the win, Colin Holderman took the loss and Grant Taylor recorded the save.
One loss does not define a season, but the line score shows the immediate concern clearly: Cleveland created traffic and briefly took control, then could not contain Chicago's middle-inning response or turn later opportunities into enough runs.
