Boricua Block Party: We Are Moving Forward — September 12, 2026

September 12, 2026 is the date—and we are moving forward. We are getting things done and working with the City of Cleveland to help make this block party happen. We are also speaking with the police commander about a safety plan so our families, neighbors, vendors, performers, and visitors can enjoy the day responsibly.

More than a regular block party

Friends, family, and community partners with their ears to the ground are helping us shape something special. This is not planned as an ordinary block party. It is a full cultural celebration of Puerto Rican identity, music, food, art, family, and community pride—a day that shows what becomes possible when we work together.

Every attendee needs to register

Registration is one of the most important ways to protect the future of this event. If 10,000 people attend but only 500 register, the official numbers do not show the true size, support, or impact of our community. Accurate registration helps us plan enough security, restrooms, sanitation, emergency support, food and vendor space. It also gives us the proof we need when working with the city, sponsors, and partners to keep this good thing going.

Attendee rules and community expectations

• Register before the event and follow all posted entry instructions.
• Respect residents, businesses, volunteers, performers, vendors, and one another.
• Follow instructions from event staff, security, police, and emergency personnel.
• Keep children with a responsible adult and choose a family meeting point.
• Do not bring weapons, illegal substances, glass containers, fireworks, or other prohibited items.
• Keep walkways, emergency lanes, entrances, and exits clear.
• Use trash and recycling stations and help us leave the neighborhood clean.
• Service animals are welcome; other pet rules will be confirmed with the final event plan.

Arrive, navigate, and leave safely

Before you leave home

Check the official event page for the confirmed address, hours, weather notices, road closures, allowed items, transit instructions, parking areas, accessibility information, and entry points. Charge your phone, bring necessary medication, dress for the weather, and share your travel plan with your group.

Getting there

Use the published public-transit, rideshare, bicycle, walking, and parking guidance. Do not park in restricted areas, block driveways, or enter closed streets. Allow extra time and follow posted signs and staff directions.

Inside the event

Use the official entrances and review the event map. Locate exits, restrooms, first aid, water, information, family reunification, accessible routes, food areas, and performance spaces. Stay within public event boundaries and report hazards or suspicious behavior to event staff or public-safety personnel.

Leaving the event

Choose a meeting place before your group separates. Leave through marked exits, be patient with crowds, follow traffic directions, and never drive impaired. Arrange a designated driver, rideshare, or transit option in advance.
